Roarr! is a theme park located in Norfolk that features life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, exciting rides, and interactive activities suitable for the whole family. In this article, I will share my experience with you, providing an overview of Roarr! and its attractions, as well as useful tips for visiting the park.

A Journey into the Prehistoric World: Roarr! The Dinosaurs Theme Park in Norfolk

Roarr!, previously known as Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, is a well-known dinosaur-themed amusement park in Lenwade, 10 miles northeast of Norwich and spread across an area of 85 acres. It features more than 100 animatronic life-sized dinosaurs, making it an exceptional place for people of all ages who are fascinated by dinosaurs.

The park is divided into multiple zones, each with its own unique set of attractions. The Valley of the Dinosaur Trail is one of the main attractions in the park, where visitors can witness full-size growling, moving and standing tall dinosaurs. Roarr! prides itself on its scientific accuracy, setting it apart from other similar dinosaur-themed parks or exhibitions. Thus, it’s a must-visit place for anyone studying the dinosaur era at school.

Roarr! offers fun-filled activities for both children and adults. The park has an outdoor and indoor play area equipped with a wide range of equipment, such as climbing structures, slides, swings, balance beams, and plenty of space for running around. The splash area is perfect for children to cool off and have fun on warm summer days. On colder or rainy days, the large indoor play area is a great option, especially since there is a cafe where adults can relax with coffee and cake while the kids play.

Apart from the dinosaur-themed attractions, Roarr! also has a small farm with some friendly animals that children can feed and pet. The park hosts regular events catering to all ages and interests, from educational workshops to fun-filled family activities that you can find on their website.

Roarr! Experience the Fun of Rides and Activities

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure Park offers an impressive variety of attractions for all ages. The park’s main highlight is its magnificent collection of life-sized dinosaur models scattered throughout the park. You can enhance your experience by visiting the Valley of the Dinosaur Trail, where you can learn more about these prehistoric creatures through information plaques.

I suggest you visit Roarr! on a day with good weather, as most of the park’s attractions are outdoors. The Outdoor Adventure Play playground is a must-see attraction that will leave you in awe. This massive outdoor playground features rope bridges and climbing logs that children of all ages will enjoy. Even on a rainy day, you can still enjoy exploring the different areas of the park.

Outdoor Attractions

During our visit, the weather was sunny and hot for British summer standards, so we spent time playing in Dippy’s Splash Zone with water games. My son particularly enjoyed racing in Dippy’s Raceway, a thrilling attraction you cannot miss, with its track and go-karts that people of all ages can enjoy.

Roarr! has numerous popular attractions that you cannot miss, such as the Valley of the Dinosaur Trail, where you can walk through the woodland area and observe various species of dinosaurs in their natural habitat. The park’s massive Outdoor Adventure Play playground will also capture your attention with its rope bridges and climbing logs. Another must-visit attraction is Dippy’s Splash Zone, a water play area perfect for children of all ages.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure Park also has a variety of small playgrounds scattered throughout, such as Pterodactyl’s Treehouse and Climb-a-Sauros. These attractions are perfect for children and offer a chance to explore and have fun. In addition to the park’s various attractions, Roarr! provides fun activities for children, such as fossil hunting and digging in the sandboxes. These activities are perfect for kids interested in learning about dinosaurs and their history.

Indoor Attraction

Regarding the indoor attractions, the Dinomite Indoor Play is a large indoor playground with ball pits and climbing structures, perfect for a rainy day. Roarr! also features a theatre inside the park. However, we didn’t attend the show because there were plenty of things to do outside, but in case of bad weather it will be a great alternative.

Practical Information for Visiting the Park

To visit Roarr! in the most enjoyable way, follow these tips: wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as there’s a lot of walking involved. Also, take a swimming suit to spend time in the splash area.

The park is extensive, with many attractions spread over a large area. As many attractions are outside, it’s also a good idea to bring sunscreen and hats to protect yourself from the sun during the summer.

Within the park, several food outlets offer gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan options. However, to save money on food, you could consider packing a picnic and eat in the designated areas.

Tickets and Opening Time

Ticket prices for Roarr! are based on height. Adults and children over 90cm tall pay the same price of £15.95. If your child is under 90cm, they can enter the park for free. You can purchase tickets either online or at the counter on the day of your visit.

If you are a local resident, I suggest considering a Roarr! Annual Pass. With this pass, you can enjoy unlimited entry to the park as well as discounts on food, drinks, and gifts from the souvenir shop.

I highly recommend booking your tickets in advance to ensure a smooth experience during your visit. This will save you time and help you avoid long queues, particularly during busy school holidays.

Keep in mind that the park’s opening and operating hours vary depending on the season. Therefore, checking their website for the most up-to-date information is always a good idea.
